Course Expectations
High school students should be prepared to work independently, read consistently, complete weekly literature, vocabulary, grammar, and writing activities, and engage thoughtfully with AI-guided coaching. Students are expected to manage their weekly assignments responsibly, ask for help when needed, and complete their work carefully, honestly, and consistently.
Parent oversight is still important, but it may look different at the high school level. Parents should regularly look over student work, ask what their child is learning, and use the course as an opportunity to have meaningful conversations about great literature, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and life. Ask what ideas stood out in the reading. Ask what they are learning about writing clearly, thinking deeply, communicating truthfully, and evaluating ideas from a biblical worldview. Censova provides structure and AI-guided support, but parents still play an important role in encouraging accountability, engagement, and growth.
